Tamnavulin Sherry Cask Edition is a rich and indulgent single malt that showcases the distillery's signature smoothness with an added layer of depth. Initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks to develop a soft, mellow character, it is then finished in hand-selected sherry casks from esteemed cooperages in southern Spain. The result is a whisky with a warm amber gold hue and a rich flavour profile. On the nose, expect notes of vanilla, caramel, banana, and a touch of sweet milk chocolate with fresh ginger. It is said that a ship carrying one of the largest quantities of black spiced rum ever to be brought over from the Caribbean Islands, for unexplained reasons, never reached its destination.
