This special bottling supports the conservation of the endangered Karearea - the New Zealand Falcon. The Cardrona Valley is one of New Zealand's few nesting grounds for the Karearea, our only native falcon and our most threatened bird of prey. The Karearea Project is a community initiative led by Cardrona Alpine Resort and Cardrona Distillery are proud to be the project's Primary Supporter. The Karearea Project is driven by Cardrona's shared passion for protecting the environment and helping the karearea thrive. In addition to their base financial commitment for the project they have selected an extraordinary cask of Cardrona Single Malt Whisky from the warehouse to sell in support of this important cause. Half of all proceeds from this rare Port cask bottling will be donated to The Karearea Project. This beautiful single malt whisky has been maturing in American ex-bourbon casks before soaking up luscious flavours from Central-Otago Pinot Noir barrels. While quietly ageing in their seaside bond store in Oamaru, Dunedin DoubleCask has gained a golden auburn colour and aromas of beeswax and fresh cereal, toasted oak and soft spices with a delicious, long fruity finish. An elegant single malt with depth and characters that make this whisky a truly enjoyable experience.

South Island Single Malt, distilled from malted New Zealand barley, aged in American ex-bourbon barrels. This non-peated single malt has been slowly maturing in The NZ Whisky Collection's seaside bond store in Oamaru. Deep honey comb and orange in colour. Well balanced with light fruity notes, soft spice and creamy malt flavours, this lovely single malt whisky is easy drinking and delicate. A pleasant wee drop to sip!

The Oamaruvian Cask Strength is now available as a bold & beautiful single malt whisky. After maturing in ex-bourbon barrels for 3 years, the Oamaruvian has gained a beautiful rusty red, burnt umber colour while ageing in NZ pinot noir barrels for an additional 1.5 years. With rich flavours of christmas cake, spices and madeira - this single malt whisky is bold and heavy - yet elegant, like an elephant dressed up in a ballet tutu. Big but surprisingly smooth.

The Revolution is Back, better and bolder than before! This delicious NZ single malt whisky has been ageing 3 years in American ex-bourbon casks before being transferred into NZ Pinot Noir barrels, for an additional 1.5 years. While slowly maturing for 4.5 years in the seaside bond store in Oamaru, the new release of Oamaruvian Revolution - with a dark mahogany colour - has had time to gain more depth and has flavours, that any whisky lover would enjoy exploring.
