The Certified Organic grapes for Angove's Organic Merlot were sourced from their own Nanya vineyard located in the Riverland, South Australia. Striking dark ruby red with aromas of raspberry and plum before an intriguing palate of dark red fruits that is complemented by subtle use of oak providing extra depth of character.

Sharing the same impeccable breeding as its big brother, the youthful exuberance of Wee Angus is revealed through the gentle plummy characters of Merlot. A subtle touch of vanillin oak and a generous finish combine to create the perfect accompaniment to your next barbeque.

This Merlot was sourced from premium vineyards. Immediately following harvest fruit undertook fermentation on skins to lock in colour and flavour. It was then gently pressed and matured on oak to develop subtle toasty and mocha flavours and a rich smooth palate. The resulting wine a has dark, inky colour followed by a rewarding, silky mouthfeel and intense, rich plum flavour. Enjoy this Merlot with crispy five spice-scented, Peking duck pancakes with hoisin sauce and Asian greens.

A complex array of dense plum and berry fruits with subtle spice and violet-like floral aromas are complimented by savoury, earthy and dark chocolate undertones derived from barrel maturation and a traditional, 'old-world approach' to winemaking. Grown on gravel soils in Hawke's Bays' warmest sub regions, these vineyards typically produce rich Merlot displaying dense, brooding plum and dark berry fruit. This is complimented by subtle notes of violet, spice, earthy undertones and hints of dark chocolate. The palate is rich, weighty and long, driven by a firm yet fine-grained tannin structure. For quality reasons this wine is unfiltered and decanting is recommended.

Grown on the gravel soils of Hawke's Bay's warmest sub-regions, this is a supple fragrant Merlot dominant blend. A core of rich plum and berry fruit is enhanced by lifted floral nots, hints of thyme and subtle earthy undertones. On the palate the wine is full bodied and fleshy with fine grained tannins, oak maturation has delivered increased depth and complex of cedar, spice and cacao. For quality reasons this wine is unfiltered. Decanting is recommended.

Exuding opulence, this is a full bodied, seductive style of Hawke's Bay Cab Sauv. Rich, ripe and fragrant it expresses layers of dark berry and cherry fruit supported by lifted violet perfume, warm exotic spice and notes of dusty cacao, vanilla, smoky charcuterie and a subtle underlying earthiness. On the palate, the wine manages both luxuriousness and elegance with a plushness of texture that is supported by silky tannins, drawing the wine out across the back palate and lending great length to the finish.

This is a smooth and fruit orientated Gimblett Gravels blend. Deep purple in colour, it has a bouquet of dried herbs, red berries and subtle hints of cedar from a period of barrel maturation.
