First made in 1982, Awatea continues to represent the best of the classic Hawke's Bay Cabernets/Merlot blend. Floral aromas with intense blackberry, currant and dark plum flavours lead to a rich, supple palate with a sustained finish. Awatea will continue to evolve in bottle for ten years from harvest.

Bullnose is a dark ruby colour with aromas and fl avours of violets, black cherry liqueur and spice, intermingled with notes of prune and raspberry. The rich, full flavoured palate displays velvety, even tannins.

Coleraine is New Zealand's most famous red wine, first produced in 1982, this classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc displays the concentration, complexity and elegance found in the world's finest wines. A deep, brilliant crimson with a vibrant purple core, Coleraine '24 opens with an alluring bouquet of fresh roses, cassis, dark cherries and blackberries. Layers of dark chocolate, nori, black olive and subtle cedar add complexity, while lifted florals and a savoury coastal nuance enhance its depth, precision and beauty. On the palate, a concentrated wave of red and dark fruit flows over velvety, cocoa powder textures, as expansive, silky tannins weave seamlessly through the wine. Aromas of black cherry, wild strawberry and star anise. The palate is soft and pillowy with a racing-stripe of boysenberry ripple through it. There are dark roses, raspberries, and notes of sandalwood and liquorice.

The palate is rich and savoury with dark cherry and plum fruit characters with fine supple tannins, hints of pepper and spice and a savoury oak finish.

A bold Hawke's Bay Syrah - Floral aromas such as lilac, violet with lifted dark berry notes appear on the nose. On the palate, flavours of boysenberry and plum with well-integrated oak influence come through. With medium weight on the palate, this wine has a hint of pepper and warm spices, rounded out with a soft and velvety finish. Blending the Maude Pinot Noir is one of their favourite and most important tasks. Each year, the magical blend from the Poison Creek and Mohawk Hill vineyards changes. Maintaining the pedigree of the Maude Pinot Noir is absolutely critical; but achieving this requires flexibility with both the blend as well as the technique as both vary with each vintage.
